ERIK - the only major thing being ‘reused’ in the course is the Reboot Your Brain exercise. I included it because I feel it’s really important. The other 95% is new stuff I’ve never covered before; at least not in detail.

John - I read through the sales copy page and you are basically describing me. I’ve bought a lot of information, a lot of courses, and am immobilized for the moment.
But my problem is not my mindset. I put forth the work, do what I learn in the courses..most of the times pulling all nighters. But…I get minimal results.
Now that I have had a couple of months of internet marketing under my belt, I am fearing that the information / courses I bought were outdated. Meaning, they may have worked and led to decent results a few years ago, but now that everyone and their dogs are doing the same thing, not to mention people are more internet savvy now, the strategies taught just are not effective anymore.
The internet marketing world is vast and deep…and the reality is that people WILL lose money learning the ins and outs of this business.
To your course…sounds like a course packed with a lot of information and stuff! Personally, I don’t have the appetite for self reflection at this time. What I would value is information about the internet, what’s different, where are the money making opportunities today..etc.

WHATNOW - success online comes down to the fundamentals… testing affiliate offers (or your own offers) and seeing what the results are. Buying keywords for different markets to find profitable niches, then ramping things up to scale the business with more traffic, offers, and product sales. Stick with the fundamentals and forget about the latest ‘trick’ or tactic.

Thanks for your response John! Makes sense. On another note, I just want to comment on your endorsement of UBD and AffiliateTheme. I bought their package based on your recommendation when I joined opportunity.com. That is $197 of my hard earned money. And their product was absolute crap! And I can confidently say this for three reasons:
1) AT is riddled with technical issues. Go look at their support forum and you will see many who are frustrated with their software. And the technical support that Nate and other UBD guys provide is well…lame. There’s no other word for it!
2) AT is just another theme for WordPress. The funny thing about this is that, there are thousands of WP themes out there that are totally free, and don’t have as many technical issues as AT. I realized this through some due diligence after purchasing AT. My bad for not doing this DD before, but your recommendation to purchase it was very strong and trusting your word is why I bought the AT, which I now regret. I was new to all this when I purchased membership to your site, and kind of felt like a lamb just ready to be slaughtered..and was.
3) UBD only provides a technology. And while technology helps with marketing, the bulk of the work is marketing. The themes that UDB have developed provided me no additional value in my marketing compared to the basic free WP themes.
Why am I saying this now? I just recently got an email from UDB that they are launching a new theme for WP called squeeze theme, and that you will be endorsing it. My recommendation to you, if you care about your reputation, is stay far away from it. You may make some dollars by endorsing it sure…but having personally experienced AT and what they have to offer, people will clue in sooner or later.
Personally, I am not touching anything UDB developes with a 10 foot pole, and frankly, your recommendations / endorsements are on shaky ground with me.
If I were you, I would highly recommend endorsing tools like Keyword Elite 2, or the Pro Edition of CB engine. Now those two tools I have spent good money on, and am getting a lot of value from them.

Whatnow - we have tons of customers that LOVE AffiliateTheme. So I’m not sure what the problem is. Different people like different products, I guess. Many of our customers loved the simplicity of using AffiliateTheme to create blogs to promote affiliate products.
I’m not sure what technical issues you are having with it. If you didn’t just post anonymously I could get in touch with UBD and help you solve your issues but I have no way of contacting you.

it was/is a great product.
I really like the Mindset course for the reasons already mentioned in my email recommendation.
I also wanted to say that I alway like your marketing style, its not too in-your-face and I’ve always found your products to be exceptional quality unlike some other marketers. I have previously purchased Traffic Secrets 1.0
Keep up the good work, and please don’t become like some other marketers who are just creating cr*p by packaging conference calls etc and charging a premium.

John is right, its the fundamentals that are important, not the latest tricks or tactics. I worked for a over year learning the technology and marketing conceptualisation and made very little money. The main barrier I faced was not having enough money for testing, and scaling, in competitive markets.
I am fortunate enough to have a background in many of the technology associated with this stuff. So I set up my own internet marketing consultancy to generate investment revenue, to fire at my online businesses, things have never been better….perhaps this could be the way to go for some of you!

I want to make some clarification about money mindset.
The transcripts doesn’t exist. The pdf you are seeing is an exercise for you to fill out when watching or listening to the video.
There are no written documentation of video.
I sent 3 e-mails to the customer service to ask if there will be a transcript available. The transcripts are important to my learning. As I mentioned above I am deaf. The 30 days are not up yet and if I don’t hear within 48 hours. I will be asking for refund.
2 reasons: 1) It doesn’t fit my need. 2) Horrible customer service which the support team seems to be nonexistent as I check on my status of support ticket.

Just to let you know we’re in the process of having transcripts made. I put in the request when I saw your initial post here. And just to be fair, the web site never promised audio transcripts of the lessons. But when we have them back I will send them to you regardless if you proceed with a refund or not.

As always, you come up with the most important aspects that new Internet marketers should have when they are going to make money.
The first thing they must have is the right mindset. Without the right mindset they will never get over the fence.
I really appreciate all your work. I will definitely get this amazing course right away… I don’t really need it as I’m already working full time as an I’mer, but I can’t afford not to afford your stuff. Even if it’s just for my IM products shelf for fast reference.

Hi John I don’t know how to reach your support (you should give it a try) so I will write these comments in this blog. Your products are always great but this support team is really terrible, I purchased almost $500 worth of your services at opportunity.com a few days ago, when I login there is a database error and it says that I will be expected to be billed every month even though I already prepaid 1 year. I submitted a trouble ticket but I noticed it was deleted as the ticket b2b49332 is non-existent! I called twice during business days and business hrs and left a message, just submitted another ticket I hope it won’t get deleted again. The 2 questions I had was:
1) The welcome email after purchase said:
If you ordered the Starter Package at $197, the contents of that package will be available by the end of the day on Thursday, May 14th in the “Settings” tab of your membership.
2) When I login to opportunity.com, it shows database error right away so I am not able to use the services I paid for.
3) When I login there is a section that says I will be expected to be billed every month even though I already prepaid 1 year opportunity.com membership.
Money has been tight for me, I’m trying to get the services I paid for to make some money.
Please let me know what’s going on, I really want to use these services and would hope to hear from you soon. Thank you John and have a good weekend.

I will be purchasing Money Mindset in a moment.
I have read through every single comment and I am appreciative that you reply them in person (hopefully its really you and not another person replying on your behalf).
Coming back, like how you have described in the salesletter of Money Mindset, I have purchased almost as many internet marketing products that I can afford as a student and heading no where.
I started learning internet marketing way back in 2004 and made sales commission of US$700 from just random email sending, as in I was just sending emails to a random group of my network, and that kick start my fervent quest of internet marketing education because I saw the money in the bank.
However ever since, I have had trickles of it to non success =(
I really believe that I can do it, I meant I did it before, but what’s happening?…
I am really keen on affiliate marketing, as that was where I kick start my journey, I must make this work because I am going to graduate and I do not want to start work.
What specific course should I take for affiliate marketing success?
Reflecting back 2004-2009, I had purchase so many courses and I have no idea.
Would really appreciate your guidance on this as I have only 6 months left. Thank you John.

Jellicoe, for affiliate marketing training I could certainly recommend our Opportunity.com training but I don’t know that it’s necessarily what you need. I think you need to simply focus on FUNDAMENTALS. Figure out a market you can serve. A market you can provide great content for. Only with that will you be able to build a list and, ultimately, be able to recommend good products & services to them that can earn you a commission with affiliate marketing.
It all starts with PICKING A MARKET TO SERVE.

Jellicoe - Opportunity.com does teach that but I honestly don’t think you need to buy anymore products from what you have said. Just get to work with what you already know for now. You should pick a market that does have proven buyers but also something that interests you, if possible. Otherwise you’ll need to hire someone that can research and write content related to that market if you are unable to do so yourself.

Hi John,
I don’t want to complain here about some of your products, because this is a MM thread, but if it helps, my experience of your support team is terrible. I got extremely frustrated trying to reach anybody, then managed to cancel a course within the time give, and then spent weeks trying to reach somebody again because money was still being taken out of my account.
Marketing and selling the knowledge is your bit, not support, so I’m not directing this at you, but since it seems to come up so much, it can only help you if we let you know what your support is like.
It can’t be easy getting support right, but perhaps look at Eben’s (and others) support teams and replicate.
Other stuff: I had the same experience with the UBD theme as the other poster - oversold. I develop in WP and even I fell for the pitch… and I’ve never used it since. I take it it was an affiliate link (and who can blame you) but the previous poster had a good point about sticking your name behind it with such a strong recommendation… because I also felt a bit dissapointed by your personal recommendation - I bought the theme straight away without double checking or doing research of my own. Tricky I know, but if you said it’s great for absolute beginners, but if you can handle WP make sure this is going to be useful to you… (I don’t know… this is your call, but you have a great reputation, and mud sticks).
OK - all that aside, I wanted to say Money Mindset is fantastic. The platform is beautiful and the delivery is fantastic.
I didn’t enjoy the other platforms - in fact, I didn’t like them at all - but this is very intuitive and simple and easy on the eye.
The content is extremely well delivered, and I just sat here making my plans for 2010, going through your modules and really enjoying them. I will purchase the rest as soon as I am able to do so.
PS I wonder if you would tell me what the learning platform actually is? Is it custom made, or is it an off-the-shelf product? Looks like what powerpoint should look like

I’ve been learning and doing for the past 2 years and I got lost in all the information. Those fundamentals just rebooted my brain.
