Income.com News Update

A quick “Income.com” related news update for you…

Status Of Traffic Secrets 2.0

We, unfortunately, ran into a minor problem with the CD-Rom format for Traffic Secrets 2.0 and now I have to go and re-record some of the content.

It’s not a major issue but it’s going to delay the course release by a few weeks. We had planned to release it by the end of May but that’s not going to happen now.

I want to apologize to everyone that’s been patiently waiting for the course. We’re doing our best to get it out ASAP and it will be available before you know it. (So thanks.)

The Main Income.com Site

We’re still very busy with the development of our core site as well as the great video content we’re creating for it.

I had really hoped to open up the site early in the year, but it’s just not going to happen. We’re adding more features and doing a lot of testing on the initial phases of it all.

UGH. Why is it that everything always takes A LOT longer than you think it will!?

A lot of our valued customers have been contacting us and are anxious to know when TS2 will be out as well as the main site. So I just wanted to send out this update to let everyone know that we’re hard at work on both of them. They will both be well worth the wait. I know I keep saying that, but it’s true, I promise. :-)

I am dying to share some more information about what we’re developing (which would make people realize what’s taking so long) but I cannot release this information just yet for competitive reasons.

You’ll fully understand once you see it all come together.

So in the meantime, keep working hard on your business!

QUICK TIP:

Here’s how to make more money in your business right away…

Analyze your current results. See where most of your traffic is coming from and what’s creating most of your revenue.

You’ll find that only 1-3 things are most likely driving most of the activity in your business. Spend more time growing those things and very little time trying other things that are unproven. It’s the 80/20 rule on steroids. It really applies to Internet Marketing.

Also, there’s ONE thing that will probably make you more money than anything else - A NEW PRODUCT.

It’s a proven fact that one of the best ways to create an infusion of cash into your online business is to release a new product.

Yes, product creation is time consuming and sometimes is no fun. But regardless of your market, releasing a new product is almost guaranteed to make you more money as fast as possible.

A great book I highly recommend you go out and buy TODAY is “Ready, Fire, Aim: From Zero To $100 Million In No Time Flat” by Michael Masterson.

This book talks a lot about building an information publishing business and a lot of it can be applied to building this business online. After reading this book you’ll understand why creating new products quickly is one of the most powerful ways to build wealth in your business.

Here’s a link to it on Amazon.com. It’s currently selling for only $18.45 which is an absolute bargain.

More news soon.

  2. Allison Reynolds Says:

Time, like money, is something you should write down what you think it will cost, then multiply it by three for what will be the realistic cost :)

  3. Tiffany Dow Says:

Can’t wait to see income.com, John! I have loved TS1, too and you’re horrid for keeping us all on the edge of our seats :)

  4. William Clements Says:

    Sounds good, John.

I am definitely looking forward to TS2 and Income.com.

Enjoy your week “off the grid.”

  5. SpyGoogle.com Says:

Now, this ain’t funny anymore. I’m beginning to lose faith in this whole cr@p…

  6. Vince Quattrin Says:

@SpyGoogle.com - John continues to practice what he preaches - be transparent and provide great content.

He is being upfront in explaining the delay and not releasing a sub-standard product (see cr@p) before its time, unlike some others in this industry.

Nice tip re Michael Masterson - and for those interested in copywriting, Masterson’s course found at http://www.awaionline.com/ is first rate!

  7. John Reese Says:

LOL. It cracks me up to see people that actually think this delay is a “marketing tactic.”

At this point, it’s probably the OPPOSITE. It’s probably costing me sales by not having the product available already because people will lose interest over time.

  8. Kris Says:

I’ve heard you talk about Ready, Fire, Aim before, and I’ve had it recommended to me by a couple of other very successful people too. So I went ahead and ordered it. Finally!

Oh, and if anyone’s in the UK like I am, here’s the link for the book at Amazon.co.uk:

    P.S. Can’t wait for TS2!

  9. Income Group Says:

Monitoring Traffic is important to determind what to improve and what to delete. Creating new products also a great thing, but not so easy if you only Affiliate Programs. A Great Source for managing small business and Home business in special, can be found at this site:

    http://MoneyToRetire.net

This is a great way to improve your Business or to start with, if you intend to start a new Business for your Own.

Thanks John for Great advice in your Income Blog!

  10. Bence Says:

Why CD-ROMs? What’s wrong with DVD?

As I suggested before, if TS 2.0 would be an online course, you could release it already. And you could release it even it is not perfect, and uptade it on the fly.

  11. Ian Chapman Says:

I am glad to hear that you are not following your old advice which was better an OK product now than a Great one in 3 months time. I personally value Quality much more, and get frustrated when I see half finished projects put out before all the bugs are ironed out. Your position and reputation are at stake so I respect and admire your decision to wait. It shows that you actually do really care about your customers and are not soley concerned with making as much money as possible. I believe this will pay off in the long term as your relationships and reputation will be strengthened.

I am eagerly waiting to see what is in store

  12. John Reese Says:

Bence, because most computers do not have DVD drives. A good percentage do, but most do know just yet, and we want this course to be something that someone follows along with on their computer. (Step-by-step instruction.)

The course has to be physical because it has physical components that students clearly want - a large manual (many prefer reading), a workbook, and handouts with checklists and shortcuts. Arguably someone could ‘print’ such files but the manual itself would be extremely hard to do on someone’s person printer.

By making the course solely an online course it would also have LOWER PERCEIVED VALUE. No matter how great the information is, people would naturally compare it’s value to other “pure digital” products like ebooks, etc.

So we have the best of both worlds — physical components as well as online components and tools that ‘connect’ with the computer-based interface.

  13. Bence Says:

    Hi John,

so it has also online components? Great!
But Product Launch Forumula 2 and Stompernet are only online-based… And they are high-priced.

I personally value more the online course, because it can be updated and I get the update immediately. What happens if the physical components get out-dated? Because the internet changes very fast…

I am looking forward to this course, I hope you can resolve all the issues quickly.

  14. Jonathan Says:

Above all JR gets my respect because he has the guts to release a REAL physical product.

By contrast, notice how recently some players are hedging their bets by making it all ‘virtual’. No commitment and no risk in case it does not work.

    This is commitment.

    So I can wait.

JR I hope that you are not feeling even slightly pressured to rush something out Sir?

    Jonathan Gunson

  15. John Reese Says:

Jonathan, not at all. This course is something that can potentially change the financial lives of families, so it’s not something I take lightly. And while that statement might sound a little “hokey” I honestly believe it. This isn’t a course about training your dog, it’s about something vital to building and growing a business, and so it’s not something to ‘rush’ out the door just for my company to generate revenue. It’s something to do a solid job at so the people that use it will hopefully be able to achieve great success in their business; which in turn affects the quality of their lives and their families.

  16. Terry Says:

Hi John, I have been waiting for TS2 since I bought TS during the sales. One thing that I’m concern about is if TS2 is of a higher level course. I’m looking for something more advance, right now I’m quite happy to say that my online income is pretty good but I want to improve and expand what I’m doing. Do let me and the rest know what’s different for TS2. I love to hear your advise.

    Thanks John!
    ~Terry

  17. Roosevelt Cooper Says:

    Hi John,

No problem, take your time with the course! While I’m anxiously awaiting the release date, I would much rather you delay it and it works properly. I remember when I brought Frank and Ed’s Underachiever course and they had some problems with the DVDs playing. I was furious! They did eventually send everyone new DVDs but the last thing you want to do when people make that type of investment is to have the technology not work properly.

For all the people waiting for Traffic Secrets 2.0, if you have a copy of Traffic Secrets 1.0, go back through it. Most of the strategies in that course STILL work today and that course was created over 4 years ago. John you got your work cut out for you, to make 2.0 just as good as 1.0! I’m looking forward to it.

    Roosevelt

  18. Sumit Says:

    Don’t worry John,

remember my name , john , see u soon dude,

hey, please kindly have some sort of sharing mechanism john,

there is still no http://www.sharethis.com button john, so many new people are
losing out because of this and thats SAD.They are being SCAMMED elsewhere.

ALL my Best Wishes and Hope u create HISTORY with this LAUNCH.

    take care
    Sumit

I think both income.com and TS 2.0 worth waiting and I also believe that John (again) will do more than what is expected of him

    Regards,

  21. Paul Says:

    Please accept my appoligies. yea?

N.B - I am still following some of the traffic tips you gave in 2004 - 4 years later lol.

    Sorry once again!

  26. Affiliate Marketing Guide Says:

Sorry to hear about the delay, John!

I hope all goes well and you finish the course soon!

    Cheers.

  27. Dave Says:

It’s not the end of the world if things are delayed, but if I were JR, I would probably not even give updates on things until the product is done. As it stands, it just comes off kind of bad to people following. While trafficjam and blogrush were probably good tools for you, it’s probably not what your visitors were as interested in…as compared to income.com portal and TS2. But, it’s your business so you have to do what makes sense.

But seriously….from past emails I would say that income.com is a well over 1 year past due….TS2 is probably a year past due….and you mentioned a book at some point (Reese Rules) that was supposed to be released last year.

    What gives?

  28. Tim Gross Says:

…You said it. I’ve recently gotten really serious about using a stopwatch to time EVERYTHING I do business related and write it down, because I’m tired of thinking something would take 3 hours, and 5 hours later I’m still not done and not sure what happened.

It doesn’t shorten the time, but it at least lets me be as realistic as possible when making estimations… And of course for major product rollouts, it’s pretty much impossible to factor in all the problems you’ll have. Good luck with everything :-)
    -Tim

  29. John Reese Says:

Dave — excellent points. The ‘reasons’ behind the delays, etc. is that “Internet Speed” moves quickly. Things change, evolve, etc. in a hurry and it’s very easy for sites, products, etc. that are in development to get changed/sidetracked/modified/etc. There’s certainly some ways to get around it and doing a better job of project management and scheduling — and we’re working on that on our end. Most of the delays in what you mention had to do with personal issues that affected my work/management of these projects.

I’m one of those people eagerly awaiting Traffic Secrets 2.0

I’m sure it’s worth the wait John!

  31. Chris Franklin Says:

So… fair to assume that Income.com is housed at The Planet’s H1 server facility? Glad to see Income.com is, for now, back online… On a side-note, I think a lot of people would really love it if you went back to the “Struggling Series” and focused on that. The vast majority of people who come to this site likely have an interest in starting and growing an online business. Income.com’s ultimate mission will be to help those people. The “Struggling Series” is a highly relevant way to start engaging that audience. I’m not trying to tell you how to run your blog, I enjoy it either way (as do most) — but I really think that you’d be setting a more solid foundation for what Income.com will eventually become if more emphasis is placed on the “Struggling Series” and less emphasis is placed on some of the other (highly entertaining) but less relevant material. (Relevant in the context of helping people make more money online, etc). Anyway, just some constructive feedback!

  32. John Reese Says:

    Hey Chris,

Yes, we got ZONKED by The Planet’s fire. Looks like we’re finally back up.

Great feedback re: Struggling Series. We’ll definitely be doing a lot more of that in the near future. Right now we’re just working really hard to get the new company off the ground — it’s been a lot of work but I believe it will be well worth it; and many will benefit greatly from it.

  33. Bence Says:

Is there a new deadline for Traffic Secrets?

  34. Lisa Says:

Sorry about the TS2 delays John. I for one can’t wait & KNOW it will be worth every day of suffering ;-) . Please keep your list posted about the release. Cheers!

Question? Are there ANY ethical and successful online maerketers?

From my experience online in the beginning my anwser would have been
a resounding no,but gradually I began to find a few online operators
who had integrity and some professional standards.

For anyone who has been on the treadmill of Internet Marketing and
attempted to learn about making money online and been the victim
of any one of thousands of self appointed money making Guru’s online.

I can report that I have at last found a man who has a real product
with real lessons and a great professional system.

John Reese is one of only a few online marketers that I have found
that does not constantly spam me with upsell offers on products of
poor or no quality and who geniunely seems to want people who buy
his products to really succeed just like he has.

John love your products and love your attitude.
I truely believe you have given me the information and the skills
to make an ethical online fortune and to built an online business
    to be proud of.
