Hi John!

Thanks for the info. I agree that this could turn out to be a great thing for marketers to check out competition and find more options for promotion.

Cheers!

You guys are too "on the ball." I know this info was available before, I meant to emphasize with the new layout that it appears they switched ALL videos to show the stats -- many had them hidden before. I'm not sure if it's a mistake by YouTube or not.

Hi John,

It's a good tactic that can be powerful if you know how to use it.

Youtube has always showed those 5 links at least to my knowledge, but it seems that today they changed the look of the site.

Around one week ago I created a video explaining this tactic. Stephen Pierce was talking about it on his blog - I was already using it - and then I had the idea of creating the video.

Here is the link to the video:

Thanks,

Hey John,

I would actually recommend everyone leaving that feature on.

Let me tell you a personal story that happened to me, and show you the importance of embedding youtube videos in your site.

I just created a free listbuilding course. (You can find it on my blog if you want more info)

And in this course, I have embeded youtube videos that show exactly how I build my list.

Now, some would say NOT to put youtube on your site, because of the "relevant" videos it shows after yours is done playing.

However, we should all be offering "relevant" content to our visitors... even if it is from our competitors.

By users clicking on the "relevant" videos from my site... my site now is shown in the "Statistics & Info" tab that John was referring to.

So, I have already had SO MANY people contact me about joint ventures, becuase I was already capable of sending traffic their way.

I hope you are all grasping this here....

1. Users stay on my site longer becuase of the "relevant" content that I am showing them. Even if it is from my competitors... they are staying on my site longer.

2. The more that people from my sites click on competitor videos... the more MY URL shows up the the "Statistics & Info" tab of youtube... it's a Win Win!

Well, I hope you understood all that. I apologize if I haven't made myself extremely clear.

Have a great day,

This has been around for almost a year now. It used to just say"Links", and you would click on that to display the top 5 referring sites.

I've noticed some changes in the layout, but that info was also available in the past. You mean that users have the option to hide it from now on?
