Income.com News, Etc.

Sorry I haven’t posted to my blog much lately…

But it has been for a very good reason!

It pretty much comes down to *3* little letters…

F-L-U.

Ahh yes, the wonderful flu.

I had it… and had it BAD.

A nasty version of a flu bug has been making its ’rounds’ all over the world this year and it made sure to stop by my life. ;-)

I was sick, on and off, for about 5 WEEKS!

5 long, stinkin’ weeks. Ugh.

And each time I thought it was finally gone and I was about to return to ‘normal’ it would come back.

Evil stuff.

But I’m happy to say I’m back to 100% now. :-)

Unfortunately, I got very little work done during all those weeks. All of my major project deadlines were missed, postponed, or rescheduled.

And I’m just ‘now’ getting back to work full-speed…

Many have been anxiously waiting for me to release “Traffic Secrets 2.0″ and I was hoping to have it out by now. But due to that lovely ‘plague’ that I caught, I still have some work left to finish the final CDs and get it into production.

It’s now looking like it will be released some time late next month.

Thanks to everyone for their patience. It will be well worth the wait.

The big Income.com site is coming along great.

Our team encountered some tech-related issues but we’ve pretty much solved them all now. We’re still doing some testing and additional development.

We’re also working on a lot of the CONTENT for the site. So thanks to my ‘downtime’ it has set us back several weeks on our schedule. Oh well, it happens…

But I’m not going to rush it.

This project is extremely important to me and I’m only going to release it when it’s 100% ready. So everyone will just have to continue being patient. And, yes, I know it’s been well over A YEAR since I originally announced that I was working on this.

I’m dying to ‘let the cat out of the bag’ (even some of it) and post “spy photo” shots or other info about what Income.com is all about, but I just can’t do it yet. I’m not yet ready to let the world see what I’ve been cooking up. :-)

More news soon.

So just about the time I was ‘finally’ feeling better, I got a nice surprise…

Let’s just say I decided to leave the house for an entire day (after having ‘cabin fever’ for weeks) and when I came home I found something I wasn’t expecting…

My two “kids” (aka Baron & Betty my English Springer Spaniels) decided to have some fun in the family room…

They literally DESTROYED a $5,000 Italian leather sofa.

D-E-S-T-R-O-Y-E-D.

I still think they somehow called over about 200 other dogs from the neighborhood to help them in their fun because they sure did a lot of damage in a very short amount of time!

(I wonder if they were ‘plotting’ this for weeks…)

Here’s a photo of the culprits caught in the act. They thought they were being ‘cute’ as you can tell by the looks on their faces…

Dogs Love Leather

When I first saw the ‘wreckage’ I just stood there STUNNED.

And then, for some strange reason, I started to laugh about it and thought to myself…

“Well, at least I’m not sick anymore.” :-)

I would have laughed at the sofa also. At least they didn’t scratch the Murci - now that would be a different story.

  3. Charybdis Says:

Then it is 6 weeks from now :(

The original plan was to release TS 2.0 in summer of 2007. Did you update it’s content so far? Will it up-to-date for 2008?

Do you allow beta testers for Income.com?

Boy - 5 weeks out with the flu. I can empathize. But we’re all very glad you’re back. Also, I like the idea you’ve reversed your stand on affiliates. It gives more credibility to the rest of us. Stay healthy, John. It’s not the same with you not around.

Great photo…I think that everyone who’s ever had a dog can identify with that! Brings back memories from when my lab was a puppy. What a terror she was ;-)

You have me beat, i wouldnt be laughing at it, but glad your back to health.

  11. Teeray Says:

    Wow, Mr. Reese,

Sorry to SEE your furniture in total disaster state! If your pooches looked any less remorseful ‘in person’ than they do in the photo, however, I can see why you were set back enough to throw your hands up then laugh! In the photo, the canines appear to be quite proud of their handiwork, offering invitation to join in on the deed!

I hope you’ll forgive the lightness of this post - I really am quite fond of canines and have suffered some destroyed furniture myself. There really is nothing to do afterward but replace the furniture and take better precautions next time.

Have you seen that ‘train your canine’ program for about 27 bucks? Sorry - just thought of it - I’ve been seeing it all over the traffic exchanges!

I’m glad you’re feeling better and I can’t wait to see what this new site is about!

    Hey nice dogs man :))

It’s great that you didn’t get upset and saw the full side if the glass.

    All the best!

  13. gareth thomas Says:

Glad you survived the flu John Reese. Now how much traffic is that photo gunna get you ?

  14. Taylor Scrubs Says:

Wow, you are A LOT more easy going than I. If after 5 weeks of being sick off and on you find your (expensive) sofa wrecked by your dogs and you laughed!? I guess it must be nice to be an Internet millionaire;-) Hope I can get there soon too :-)

Anyway, I am glad to hear you are feeling better. I had the flu back in December and I wouldn’t wish it on anybody.

Keep drinking that orange juice and maybe buy a “scat mat” for the dogs :-)

  15. Stephanie Says:

Flu got you too, not surprising. That bug is nasty this year!

It’s amazing how destructive a bored dog (or dogs) can be. I used to work for Home Depot, and had a customer in one time whose dog had chewed through their drywall and into the insulation.

  16. Lisa Marie Mary Says:

Yep - the sicknesses this year are awful! I’ve had this sore throat/ear infection thing for over a month! And all the kids are getting all kinds of illnesses! Glad you’re feeling better - it’s like coming out from a cave afterwards, isn’t it?

Oh my goodness - your ‘kids’ are definitely WAY too cute! Almost hard to be mad at them when they make those sweet, adorable faces at you! Little turkeybutts!

Can’t wait to see what all you’ve got comin’ down the pike!

  17. Dr. Charles Decker Says:

    Hey John,

Can’t wait for TS 2.0! I think we all know that you’re not going to let the animal out of the cage (or dogs out of the pen) until it’s REALLY ready.

My first introduction to you was watching you on Underachiever II and was blown away by your integrity and humility.

I’m currently working on my very first website and am looking forward to applying your sage advice and experience.

Thanks for giving back ten times what you’ve received. We appreciate it!

    Take care my friend,

    Dr. Chad

  18. Nick Sullivan Says:

I’m working on a project of my own right now too so can appreciate schedules are hard to fufill. I too am dying to release / launch my project but know it’ll only hurt me and my project if I launched it when it wasn’t ready and still had holes. Rushing it just ruins the long term trust in it a bit, cough *vista*.

I am excited about Income.com, sounds very awesome and intruiging. Sounds like it’ll be a great resource for resource hungry entrepreneurs who need some guidence. I don’t often endorse self-help or like minded courses to improve sensibility of anything but this seems like a genuine effort to make something special. Can’t wait.
