Wow… what a story! And the lessons you learned are priceless.
I’m now keeping a list of “Reese Rules,” including the ones highlighted in the Reese Report.
And the video played great, too!

Great video, can’t wait for the launch John.

This is a powerful message that I, and probably many others, needed to hear today.
The path of entrepreneurship and financial freedom can be a true test of your nerves
but it is a battle well worth winning.
June 8th, 2007 at 9:00 am
Great stuff as always John.
Great to see you coming back to the limelight full force.
Rock on John,

Nice work! You should put your videos in a format that can be embedded on others blog so we can share it with more people!

This is a pure gem John and the timing is very apt.
Thanks.

Great video! your blog keeps me going…
I feel like you’re talking about my current situation…
I WILL GET OUT OF THIS!
Once again thanks for the video!
June 8th, 2007 at 12:00 pm
As always….outstanding!
June 8th, 2007 at 12:18 pm
Great video, you read my mind!
I have found those two truths to be a huge difference in my business … and what many small business owners are making.
As a perfectionist, it was so hard for me to launch anything, because I was afraid of failure. I now call it a test, an experiment. If that new marketing campaign, or teleclass, or info product does not do well, it was just an experiment, a beta test. Now, I just make some changes and run the test again.
Another big difference is taking action — or you could also call going really fast. Most people never get started, get stuck, and take forever. I find that the faster I come out with new stuff, new campaigns, new info products, new websites - my business increases at a exponential rate.
Thanks!
Elizabeth

The video stopped working. The video will not play past the hope section.
June 8th, 2007 at 12:58 pm
the video only plays for about a second then stops. I have the most recent falsh player install. any ideas for a fix?
June 8th, 2007 at 1:12 pm
LOL, I tried it one more time and it worked!
June 8th, 2007 at 1:18 pm
John,
You should publish a report with all of the “Reese Rules” contained within.
They are golden.

Great advice. I’ve been involved with a number of projects that fell flat on their face because some people involved would rather form “great ideas” than take action. They just wanted to plan all day, say “Wow this is a great idea!” and never get down to business.
I never really feel good about any project until I’m doing something that is directly related to the growth of the business, and has a tangible result. That is the problem with so much of the internet marketing out there today, it’s just more information adding to your swelling headache of all these things you want to do. You really have to distill it down to one goal at a time, and the results will tell you to keep going or “get out while the getting is good.”
Hope is for the birds. Great video John.
June 8th, 2007 at 7:23 pm
Awesome thoughts again, John. Any chance we will see the entire speech, or even a transcript?
June 8th, 2007 at 7:23 pm
Ditto on the “Reese Rules” report!

Just awesome JR and the video played till the end.

John Reese, an inspiration as always. This video really made my day
Thank You John !

John Reese ,
Great lessons of life . I can relate to some of the lessons and truly vouch that these
advise works ! Unfortunately as always TRUTH HURTS so many people may feel the
truth from your lessons but will not admit it ……even admit it to themselves for fear
of succeeding !….Keep up the good lessons ….
June 9th, 2007 at 3:55 am
The video illustrates wisdom learned from the hard knocks in life which John very graciously shares with us. For me the most important rule is rule 8: To change your reality you have to face your reality. Jeez, is this so true. Like most people I am in debt, not a big debt, but still a burden. And I’ve been through it all. Fear. Anxiety. Depression. Suicidal tenancies. And other Crap. But I got through it all. I got wise and faced up to the reality that this debt is just a bunch of numbers…thats my life began to go finally forward with strength and confidence. I learned to face up to my reality from John….in a video called “Reboot Your Brain”…which I highly recommend to anybody to watch and listen intently and act hard on….cheers.
June 9th, 2007 at 7:28 am
Short video with a giant impact!
thanks John…I’m also looking forward to the launch.
June 9th, 2007 at 7:50 am
Thanks John for sharing!
I, for one, appreciate anything you share for free at this point, especially those nuggets that have the ability to force a change in a person’s life for the better.
Once again, thanks for the blog and the information you just shared! Keep’em coming
Thanks!

This is a gem! I really relate with the message of not letting your current reality hold
you back from achieving your dreams.
Can’t wait to see what else you got up your sleeve!

inspiring video! what happened to the $500,000 reese report video? i wanted to show it to my friend.
June 9th, 2007 at 1:16 pm
What a story….
Your honesty is unbelievable.
You hit some serious buttons and I really can relate.
John, some day could you tell “how to keep the focus”.
Again, thanks for the honesty and not trying to aways sell us something. You practice what you preach.
greg
June 9th, 2007 at 2:39 pm
Thanks for your feedback, everyone!
Greg - I’ll make a note to cover ‘Focus’ sometime soon.
“money making ideas” - I took the $500K Adsense video down because those sites, and how they were structured, along with some Adsense changes, experienced a dramatic decrease in earnings. And so I didn’t want to continue promoting a business model that was no longer working well. When I released the video those sites were working well (and I wanted to encourage people) but that’s not the case anymore and I feel that I would be misleading people if I kept the video up.
June 9th, 2007 at 3:45 pm
It’s good that you removed the video for that reason.
Keep them coming John, you are doing an awesome job. I really like your 911 Video story, it was awesome.
Can’t wait income launch. I hope it’s coming soon.
June 9th, 2007 at 3:51 pm
Hey John,
Good stuff, the site is coming along nicely and as always great pointers to keep in mind. I know this is a stab in the dark but it’s worth a try…….
If it helps any…. I am a friend of Mark Ling and am working hard to get my affiliate business off the ground. Would love the chance to get your opinion on a site I am working on… promise I won’t bother you :0)

John,
Once again you nailed it I’ll bet as 95% of the people that watched that video clip has been through the exact thing that you described. I would also like to thank you for the truth because when people watch that and they are not making the kind of money that they had hoped to be making they will see that if you see yourself reaching that goal and not give up then you will reach that goal.
Thanks John,
Bill

Great video John, it really hit the spot when you said never let anyone tell you it can’t be done. Taking action is another important point. I think a lot of us get caught up in the information overload and don’t take action.
Thank you for your honesty and inspiration.

Your commentary on Hope was great.
I’m a movie fan too, and I think some of the greatest lessons in life can be summed up in movie lines.

Hi John,
In my opinion, this was the best one ever.
It actually brought tears to my eyes.
I’ll spare the details… but
Thank you for sharing not only that you had “down” times,
but also the ways you used to turn it around.

I really enjoyed your humor, but most of all the reality of life in America today. I am appaulled it is so easy for people to receive so much credit even when they are sinking in debt. It is easy to do when you are dealing in credits in an account somewhere and not with real money.
I wish you much luck and success. I am really interested in making a difference for our generation. I am anxious to learn.. Keep up the great teaching..

John,
Thank you for ALWAYS offering help that has real substance. The underlying principles by which you govern your business are founded in integrity. After having spent months studying various gurus and experts, the methods that you promote for business and personal development promote the personal and business values that I want to model.
I am SOOOO looking forward to the launch of income.com

I was practically hypnotised by this presentation, certainly gran-ma wouldn’t fall asleep if I were to have sit up one night and take this in.
I believe John is a “close to your heart” super affiliate who gets the hype around without the hype, whatsoever.
I use to spend countless hours browsing through Jim Daniel’s bizweb2000 aricles, I would sit and read for hours, hooked on every word, and such is the case I noticed that John Reese possesses that same level of quality in the information he provides for his readers. Through to form it’s all the honestry integrity concept at the end the day: “People watch you in everything you say and believe you in everything you do” - That’s the secret of making a million dollars online and anywhere else for that matter
June 13th, 2007 at 8:52 am
Thanks, John, for sharing some memories that must be painful. But it is helpful in seeing your journey to know you better. I can certainly identify with some of your struggle, and renew hope for better days in the future. I look forward to hearing more in the upcoming venture. Learning is exciting, and I am confident will be profitable as well.

This really makes sense to me. Round your debts up: that’s your OLD way of life: expensive! NEW way is to believe the door stands open for you: set yourself a big goal. Mine is $400 million a year. I know just how to do it, too, easy. And each day is a step towards that little goal I set myself as a daily challenge. Life feels sweet, big boy. Grin!

Kev summary of the video:
every result is an asset
if something fails, determine why it failed.
look at the data
entrepreneurs buy hope(products) but fail to take action. The more action you take the more money you make.
Never let anyone tell you it can’t be done.
brainwash yourself to think you will be incredibly wealthy
the anticipation of death is worse than death itself.
Accept the reality of your financial situation:
your debt.
put a sign up of your total debt and your financial goal.
The only way to change your reality is to change your reality.

July 24th, 2008 at 10:14 am
Hi John,
Loved your video, especially the part about Hope. Yes, we buy “hope” on a regular basis, anticipating that this is the thing that will get us where we want to be. When it doesn’t pan out, we move onto something else offering hope. I’ve heard this a lot over the years but what I haven’t heard is the opposite… Hanging on to hope when it is probably futile.
Example: you’re working on your business, fully believing you have a good niche and a desirable product, yet you persistently run up against failure. You continue working your niche - after all, other people are succeeding with that exact product and those techniques, why won’t it work for you? So you keep the faith.
At what point do you admit to yourself that the hope is futile and it’s time to move on to another product or technique? No one seems to address that side of Hope and its counterparts: determination, persistence and positive action.
