Fantastic job as usual, John!
What an inspiring story - and full of dynamite info. I hope you don’t mind I speed-read your report, because I was very excited.
Thanks for sharing that.

The information in your report is worth more than the average $97 Ebook. I would have paid that just to be updated on the launch of income.com!
Thanks for the outstanding content John, it’s very much appreciated.
So, when does Traffic Secrets 2.0 launch?

John,
I am so looking forward to reading this report tonight. We have had over a million visitors to our site in the last 8 weeks, so I am eager to see what new insights you will provide on web 2.0.
You are a great source for actionable, strategic-based advice. Thanks!

I’m very excited to see more about this “new” short-form / video combo sales letter … and appreciate the emphasis on content.
The public has become more internet-smart and demands that if we want permission to sell to them, we also need to give them great value. And, I’m proud to run a business that helps people and makes the world a better place, at the same time as it makes me money.

Hi John,
Can’t wait to read your report and gain some insights from your knowledge and experience. More importantly, I assume that this means income.com is getting closer to fruition.
Thanks for sharing.

John,
Thanks for giving an update on income.com - I’ve been waiting for that site to “go live” for awhile now. Wasn’t it supposed to launch earlier in the year? I’m excited about seeing it. I hope it rocks.

I am assuming you are building the site using some type of community/social networking software platform.
Can you comment on which plaform you are using? Did you do any type of review/evaluation of various platforms you could share with us.
I am looking forward t the site–and continuing to be a reader of the Reese Report.

After giving a quick skim over this report before diving into I am sure that it contains not only valuable but pertinent information in order to change the way we do business as internet marketers

Hi John,
So I guess the second best thing will be to join income.com when it launches.
After downloading your free report I couldn’t wait to read it. I just spend the last hour or so gobbling up what you have so clearly explained. I can only day that as an intermediate marketer who makes very little money at present this can only increase once you launch. Or can it? I will surely keep my eyes peeled for launch day as so many others no doubt.
I wish that people like me have a guy like you to teach them one on one. I know, I couldn’t afford you anyway
At this stage I can only dream of your income. I seem to follow anything end everything that promises to be the “next best thing”. But that’s now forever over and done with.
Thanks Monika

John,
We just finished writing a sales page for one of my new sites. I’d decided, honestly, based on the comments of a few of my coaching clients (listen to your market) that the mid-range sales letter with video was the way to go. We tested it with several different kinds of sites and got phenomenal feedback and response. So, to stumble upon your awesome PDF was quite affirming. Great stuff. Thanks for your generosity!

Hey John,
Not 10 minutes before this came out I was posting on a forum asking if they had heard when your blog and report would be released.
And here it is - I have been anxiously waiting . . .
Now the download just finished - so I am off to read - I will come back to comment when I am done reading.

Hi John - Just finished reading the report.
Excellent content - as you always provide. The short copy “brochure” salesletter w/ video has converted better for me as well in my tests, but an interesting tidbit - when testing individual styles of video, an problem/solution/benefit/call to action did much better then a simple demo of what was being offered. So it is, truly, a video version of the traditional salesletter, with the same hot buttons.
Looking forward to the Income.com release (as well as all that leads up to it)!

Wow. John, I’ve been in a mental slump for about a year with the whole IM thing. Disillusoned and disgruntled, to put it mildly. But, after reading your report that just makes so much sense it’s almost surreal, I’m going to be kicking it into high gear again right away. Can’t wait to see Income.com open up.
Thaks a million, man. Now, how the heck do I turn this webcam on?

John,
That was one well put together report. I have felt a major shift going on for the last 6 months or so in the IM community and this validated exactly what I have been told, but hearing it from you is a major motivator for me and I will wake up a new dude in the morning with a clearer vision of my business..
Thank you for the boot in the pants….
Looking forward to partnering with you on your new and looks to be incredible company!

Hey John… wow this article hit right on the mark. I have already seen many sites using the hybrid approach and their conversions went through the roof. So far i seen many different type of hybrid sites online and I beleive the video using camtasia works the best.
Also I have realized that using video to brand yourself is key. People these days want to know who you are and what you do.
I cant wait to purchase your VIP account next month. I see income.com to be one of the top information autority sites online.

Hi John,
I’ve now had the chance to read your report through
in detail and the content was useful - thanks.
I really liked your insights on the future trends of
the Internet and the results you shared of your
recent testing. Great stuff.
Thanks for a refresher on the principles required to
build a successful business on the Internet. Things
like serving the market and giving them what they
want are timeless principles and will be valid forever.
Making people’s lives better should be at the forefront
of every Internet business. Jay Abraham refers to this
as the Strategy of Pre-eminence.
I was interested to hear your views on the Squeeze
Page and your use of the Video Brochure - neat stuff.
Thanks too for the update on your plans for Income.com
and I look forward to hearing more. I’m sure we will
P.S. I’m going to print off your PDF right now and read
it again a few more times.
Have a great day.

Hi John,
I too have been excited to hear news from income.com … still plowing through Traffic Secrets V1.0 and learning more and more every day.
Now just finished reading the report - marvelous, confirms many many observations I’ve made recently:
Low barrier to internet business entry (with 1,000s more arriving each day …) is crowding the market with mediocre products.
High barrier to real profits - and increasing (& more time “tweaking” required).
Email collection difficulty via opt-in is increasing (even squeeze pages as you say. And I’ve definitely wondered about the “other” 70% that I DON’T get!!).
Email deliverability is a major issue, even with tons of work to make each mailer clean, so the list itself is reaching less and less people, let alone being less and less responsive.
“Email bankruptcy” — a new term I heard being used to describe people who simply cannot manage the inbox - what happens to our mailouts then? A side-effect may be laziness and voting ALL unwanted email into “mark as spam” rather than simply unsubscribing.
The ebook market has had so much $97 rubbish published that adds nothing to people’s lives that it is almost dead … and this could be our lifeline as perhaps, killer content with LESS hype and innovative delivery might standout from the mediocre crowd.
And finally, love the info on the short video page (but long video sales copy). I’ll definitely be testing that!
Thanks again for showing the way forward …

I have just finished the fifth DVD of Traffic Secrets. I must say they are outstanding. After 9 years on the Internet I NOW understand what it takes to build a Business on the Internet. John, just finished your report.
You didn’t start out to great in my books, with your dire predictions, I think I could debate you on those ideas.
But you nailed it in the last half - content is K….
And you need to really serve your clients - serve them well - so true.
The strategy was a nice touch, but anybody who overlooks the real message is seeing the trees, but not the forest.
You can check out my thoughts at http://www.zedpromarketing.com (my blog) were there will be still ‘more to come’.
Thanks John!

John,
I have to say WOW!
After only just finishing your PDF Report
this old dogs mind is spinning.
30 yrs John. 30 years of offline and online
marketing and I thought I knew it ALL!
Yes I remember the good old days of selling
ad space. The days when people paid us $135 CPM
(CPM = cost per thousand banners displayed)
The market fell out and it went down, down, down to
the point you thought $5 per thousand was a great score.
By the way we delivered 40 million visitors per month
on our site so you an imagine the loss
I agree with you that content is and will be “Kong!”
The ones who learn how to not cage Kong but set Kong
free will be smiling all the way to the bank.
Everyone who is or has read your report should be doing
one major thing immediately after finishing.
You all should immediately take inventory on your Internet
assets and how you can immediately implement some of the
Nostradamusesse prophecies shared with us all tonight.
Also remember everyone John will be playing this game of
“Kong Content” aggressively and to win. He is giving
everyone a head start, so take it!
That’s it for my review, I hope to see as many Warriors
still in business 3 to 5yrs from now. Read John’s Report
3 - 100 times it’s going to be a big part of your success
if you do and a reason for your failure if you don’t.
Thanks Again John.
Sincerely,
Richard

Hey John,
I’ve been waiting since Feb 05 to hear your take on that blog post.
Glad you finally spilled the beans … well at least some of them.
It’s undeniable, “killer content” IS King Kong… I sadly admit that

really like the initial results.

Getting rich is not an overnight process.
It’s a process that may take years in the making. And one must be ready and searching for it.
Change your thinking and you can change your life. That’s what I learned from Jim Rohn, Stephen Pierce and Napoleon Hill.
No amount of coaching will help us, if we are not ready for it.
But we can certainly shortcut the process by learning from those who have walked the path before us.
I’m certainly looking forward to your coaching, John.

John has named one of platinum rules of any business — your product (or service) should solve problems of millions people.
This secret (?) just also is forgotten with 90 % of beginning businessmen which do all focusing on profit, instead of to the aid of people.
P.S. Therefore, if you wish to create prospering business — remember this secret.
Successes!
Yours faithfully, Dmitry Lebedev.

John, your testing and your comments about video used in sales letters… it’s worked great for a small project I just released and that’s precisely the same conclusion I arrived at.
The combination of a “video that sells” along with the mini sales letter is, indeed, very effective.
Also, your comments on including entertainment and not being the dull cookie cutter sales pitch website, I again agree with (and used this in the video I mentioned as well as a few previous pages).
As for your theories about 99% failure rates due to the massive online gold rush … with all due respect, I think you are way off base. Take 1 billion internet users. A good chunk of whom currently only log on from time to time (or to check their email etc)… now give them internet from their cell phones and PDAs and Ipods and heck maybe even on a touch screen built into their refidgerator… and give constant daily access to 6 billion internet users. What you have as a business owner is 6 billion potential customers at your finger tips. Those who learn how to wade through the “noise” and stand out are in place to make fortunes (and I don’t mean a mere million or two).

I think you are overly optimistic John. Already today more than 99 out of 100 starting Internet businesses fail. And funny that you are talking about SEO methods wading down and content being important. Not in a bad sense, but that it does aligns with the article I posted on my own blog in June 2005 (see the address of my website, that I provided with this comment).
With respect, Ely

After dabbling with Internet Marketing and affiliate marketing and Adsense marketing and lots of other stuff, I am myself going for a rebirth. Your report comes in very handy. Your introspection touches on some raw nerves, as always.
Hope more marketers turn responsible and stop throwing email offers 2-3 times a day (er, almost).
Have a great TS2 launch!

Oh, and eZines are going down the hill because of RSS and lately relased Internet Explorer 7.0, which supports it (as well as growing in popularity FireFox) And those who use Outlook 2007, get RSS feeds right in their mailboxes… just without the spam. Email lists and ezines are not yet dead though. So, maybe it’s a topic for the report in a year or two.

May 1st, 2007 at 3:38 am
John,
You definitely made me think with this one. I found myself revisiting my sales process and brainstorming methods to build a list without the squeeze page as the most prominent page. Thanks to the guys over at Stomper, I’m already using great content to pull in additional visitors and then funnel them into my sales process. And I have increased interaction with my list.
Your hybrid video testing really put teeth to “Death of the Salesletter” argument presented by Michel Fortin. I noticed that a video presell campaign seemed to be the new wave of product launch and I very reluctantly forced myself to learn how to use Camtasia. I can see that direct response marketing coupled with delivering killer content via video is the future and am excited to have grasped this at this stage.
I think you are definitely correct that marketing online will become increasingly difficult and the competition will become more fierce. But I believe that the vast majority of this new competition will not pose a major threat on all fronts. With about 2 years of internet marketing under my belt, I’ve come to realize one thing - Internet marketing is a REAL business, requiring hard work on a consistent basis….and although the barriers of entry are low, most people will not be willing to put in the effort it takes to succeed. And if they are willing to put in the effort, the biggest barrier they will face is having a true understanding of marketing and the human psychology behind it. I do however believe that the “easiest” traffic strategies such as PPC will only get more and more expensive due to this increased competition.
Building an effective sales funnel is a real balance between science and art…and the vast majority of people starting businesses online will never understand this.
Told you that you made me think!

John, excellent points, particularly regarding the ethics and values needed to serve a market, vs all the article-scraping, low-value types of sites that so many new IMers seem to believe should be the bulk of what they do. They’re lazy and doomed to failure or at best, mediocrity.
Having a solid work ethic to produce genuine content that really helps people, and do it in a world-class manner, is where success will be for future marketers.
Gotta love your phrase re “content is kong”, absolutely right. I wish more marketers would “get it”, that making money online Is truly about serving markets vs just trying to put up cheap no-content/article scraped adsense only sites and cross pitching to lists. Instead, it’s about genuine value and content.
I always enjoy reading your works, and studying your brilliant Traffic Secrets course, and all the other things you’ve done, John. Thanks very much for making this *very* important statement to the marketing community - it needed to be heard, and you articulated it brilliantly, as usual. Nice work!

John,
Thanks so much for this confirmation of what I have felt for a long time. I planned on video marketing for some time now (and even have video templates for it) and will now focus on creating sales messages instead of sales pages. It’s like TV on a website, telling stories and sharing information instead of hard-selling — I like this and it fits what I’m already doing, but I needed to find a way to market it properly.
The Internet will be “TV on steroids”, on millions, if not billions, of websites!!!
Keep rockin,

This has to be an example of Online Guerrilla Marketing at it’s very best.

It seems to be going great but I’m such a creative person I really wanted to show people that what I’m trying to teach them is legit.
And I was TOTALLY thinking about putting my copy in a video - like me talking about it.
But this Documentation is INCREDIBLE!
Can I send my customers here or do you have an opt-in form that you want me to send them to?
Thank you so much!
VIDEO Salescopy sounds Amazing!
Even KEN EVOY is using it now from sitesell.com
YOU RULE BUDDY!
Thank you as your site inspired a really creative idea in my head.

John:
I just finished reading the entire 53 page report. You’re exactly right about giving consumers what they want and offering valuable content. I agree with several of your predictions and I even figured out as I was reading that you’re using some of the exact tactics you talk about - by providing content, turning on the reader’s, helping to create a state of awareness that leads to a purchase.
It was a very well written report and I wanted to say thank you for giving your thoughts to the rest of us. To those of us who know your success rates, we all know deep down you don’t have to share, tell, or do anything you don’t want to do.
Your report provides some very valuable content that every internet marketer should read.
Although, as a writer, I do want to say this…
The first half of your report, all the doom and gloom, isn’t a real uplifting thing to read about. I do understand though, that based on your research it’s all true.
The main site on http://www.income.com is much more upbeat and just a suggestion: I hope when Income.com launches that it keeps that upbeat “can succeed” type attitude because that’s what marketing really needs.
Even this forum needs an “uplift” brighten things up around here.
But still, it was very informative and I appreciated reading it.
Thanks again for putting it out there and I look forward to reading some more of your “test results” type of info.
Consider this some viewer feedback.
Thanks John.

[…] John Reese of Traffic Secrets fame has released a free 53 page report called Rebirth of Internet Marketing. You might have found him through lot of hype and may not have a good impression. But he is famous for practicality. He always tries to give practical information with examples. Anyway here is something at the begging of the report. “Why Should Anyone Listen To What John Reese Has To Say? 17 years. 100+ hours a week. 1,200+ web sites. Tens of thousands of tests. Billions of site visitors. Millions in profits.” […]

After building my main site back in 2000 based on the principle of delivering good original content and then not knowing or understanding how to drive traffic to it I went in search of other fields.
Fortunately I left the site online and it has steadily grown in popularity. Now I am enthused again, I need to revamp it, add more content, fix old expired links, and work out how to make the traffic turn into an income.
I am reluctant to add video because I personally don’t bother to watch video due to slow download times etc. However, I am not marketing to me so perhaps I should give the option.
Much food for thought and much to inspire, well done.
Congratulations John,

John you’ve done it again. Could you be the Nostradamus of the internet marketing world? I admire that fact that you speak your mind and stand up for what you believe. I also admire your teaching phiilosphy and techique. I am continually learning and reading but much in the internet marketing world is presented cloudy, hazy and rather vague. Just general information, however your sharing is always clear with but leaving us room to add ourself.
If you hadn’t succeeded in internet marketing I am sure you could have had a brilliant career as a university professor and with your love of testing maybe in the science realm.
Your report has shed some light, at one time scarey but at the same time exciting. I am looking forward to the grand opening of Income.com and am grateful to be in a position to be part of it.
Thanks again John

John,
Having just read your report I must say I agree with most of what you have to say about the future of Internet Marketing.
You would have to be on another planet not to have noticed how much more difficult it is to compete on keywords and it’s getting more difficult as time passes.
I also agree with your views on the increasing rate at which new ventures will fail and be replaced by a new generation of newbies. You can see that happening now and a whole industry has built up to serve these innocent lambs to the slaughter.
I come across marketers everyday catering to these poor souls selling them useless stuff or outdated ideas and concepts.
Of course you are in the position to take the moral high ground when it comes to trying to serve the market rather than sell to it, you are at the top of the food chain.
However it is not the same for many other people who want to turn a buck at any price and will sell anything to anyone gullible enough to buy it.
I have to say I don’t have what it takes re character and personality to be a snake-oil salesman or get rich at someone elses expense.
Your view that Content is the key to making money is an intersting one that I don’t find has served me very well in reality. Neither has having big content rich sites rather than small few page sites.
My experience has been that serving people with content rich sites does not pay well. I too do testing and have found that poor content sites actually make more money than good content ones, especially with the likes of Adsense.
I also see that the market to serve newbies will grow as you suggest and perhaps you stand a better chance with Income.com than most, of convincing them of your track record and integrity not to sell them crap.
My experience of giving stuff away for free is that it has its place, but as a method of doing business it has created a generation of Internet users who expect everything for free and another group who think because its free it has no value.
I am also sick to death of marketers who like you say think all they have to do is keep sending you promos for there own or JV partners products.
They can’t be even bothered to modify the email sales pitch, or even try the product before bashing it out to their list for fear they will miss the gravy train.
But despite what you say, people still respond to this crap and marketers still make tons of money doing it and many of them are big name gurus. I won’t mention any names, but anyone whose been on the net for a while knows who they are.
So, I’m not so convinced that the future of Internet marketing will see less of the types of marketers you mention and less small one page websites.
With more people coming on to the Internet to make easy money the market to newbies must surely grow and so will the marketers whose only interest is to sell - big names included.
These marketers will thrive doing what they already do, because the newbies don’t know any different and by the time they do they are being replaced by a whole new set and the process goes on.
Most people don’t want the truth about life on the net they want to be told how easy it all is and how they can get rich quick.
Which leads me to conclude from my own 5 years experience on the net that honesty and integrity don’t pay very well - sad, but true.

Hi John,
Thanks for the report. Content has always been king and those SE spammy sites deserve to be banished from the search engines!

May 1st, 2007 at 5:33 am
for me this is not presenting the real perspective from income online today, you plot line my friend, is very thin, and i bought you book. much respect though. if you are, or have experience in marketing, then you can truly make a lot of money on the internet quick. maybe it has to do with “having a wift,” (lets not discuss that now). reality check though, this is not that simple, making money online is not as ease, remark that, each second more and more people “get on this wave” adding a piece of sand to, but on that large perspective is just a tiny thing. Cashing big bucks online means either making big sacrifice like spending all your time sharing what you really know about in a blog (or the your pop webX.0 feats and market smartly as much as you can convert them bucks, or spending like a tony montana vc…. you know fo’ shure more than i know about that, yet, make THINGS A LITTLE MORE CLEAR, PLEASE.
May 1st, 2007 at 5:36 am
Hi again, well I just finished reading the entire 53 page report and wow, what an eye opening we are all in for with the future of internet marketing. I believe you are right on track with your predictions. Only time will tell and hopefully those of us plugged into you will greatly profit from heeding your warnings and suggestions.
One question I have and I’m sure it will be answered in due time is regarding the content you will provide from your income.com site. From what I understand, SEO’s frown upon duplicate content and wondering how we will get King Content that’s unique.
I look forward to finding out more about the Income.com content. I really like the idea about the shortened Sales Letter with the abbreviated brochure version of the sales page and putting the longer sales letter page inside the video. I know, for myself, I HATE reading the entire HYPE sales letter and usually don’t read it all and skim down through the highlights and down to the bottom line PRICE LOL I would much rather listen to the longer version via VIDEO.
I totally agree with the concept of giving them what they want and giving more for free and they will be more willing to come back and to purchase from you.
I will be doing my best to implement some or all of these ideas as soon as possible.
Again, thanks for all you’ve given to your online community and I look forward to the full launch of Income.com

Great stuff here - but then again, I’d expect nothing less from you!
I’ve known you for several years now, and it’s always good to see

Far too many people are busy chasing the “next sure thing” and
ignoring the fact that this business takes WORK.

mastering the basics (writing decent copy, traffic generation, list building)
and learning from their mistakes. I’m grateful for you for remaining a

Wonderful report! Thank you…
You have an uncanny way of expressing the heart and essence of any web marketing situation (that is often complex on the surface) so simply and clearly! This is the sign of a true master of a discipline.
This latest report is no exception. Paragraph after paragraph rang true with me deep down. I thank you again for being generous with your perceptions, and for bringing these themes into such clear focus for those of us who want to stay on top in this fast moving environment.

John, I just got to the top of page 20. If I stopped there I would still have received huge value from this report. I knew that, I knew it years ago, but how so very often have i forgotten it, or stupidly ignored it. You just reaffirmed it and plastered it in 2ft high letters on my office wall. I urge every one to read through the entire report and take particular not of your earnest lesson at the top of page 20.
As a marketing consultant I am ashamed to admit that I sometimes forget this basic marketing lesson - shame on me.

Finally someone in the IM community who
has a little respect attached to his name
spreads the notion that it is not ok to
pump sales junk down clients throats.
I found the forced name squeeze and
BS membership site concept to be totally
cheesy and see through.
As a non- American I assumed this is
accepted over there for some reason.
Apparantly others are offended by the lack
of sincerity as well.
Long live true value and integrity in
marketing.
I too have wondered why Yahoo have let
such a golden opportunity slip by!
Also - My sales page has been converting like
mad because I put a video at the top and elected
not to have a name squeeze access.
I have been unkowingly using the JR formula.
Looking forward to the next installment,

Hi John,
You never fail to surprise. Did you download this blog software from my site?
I have to agree that Google is getting tougher on the ‘garbage’ out there. Many sites have just undergone a ‘castration’ ceremony and are no longer even listed or are in the ’supplemental index’!
I put up pages that I think people are going to ENJOY reading, not just to hang Adsense on. That’s the way to go in the future. As for video on the page, I quite like some sites with it and it seems to be the way to go.
Keep up the surprises, John, all the best!

Thanks for an awesome report John. I am positive that Income.com is going to be an amazing site. Your content is always extreme quality.
I’m going to test the video idea. Of course I knew it was important to have video, but your thoughts on it make so much more sense than anything else I have heard on it. And I like the little “If you test this model and have success, and don’t mind showing it off, please contact me.”
Anybody want John Reese to help show off their website?

Hello John
Before reading your report ! did not know you from Adam. I do not know how you got my e-mail address. So. I very casually, almost dismissively accessed your report. At first my impression was, here we go again. ‘Looks like yet another internet guru beating his chest like King Kong and then with a sleight of hand peddle yet another of online based product that will make me a zilionaire’
Do you know what made me read, no, STUDY the whole report? As I said, I was very dismissive AND sceptical when I started reading it. I thought a few minutes and then I will get off it. But do you want to know what MAJOR ELEMENTS in your report made me read it through not only TWICE but also write up these comments?
Those very rare and precious elements are: HONESTY! EMPATHY!! SINCERITY AND A TRUE DESIRE TO REALLY HELP!! The whole report reeks of these sentiments. Honesty comes through.
Somehow, I feel I KNOW you John. I am looking forward to know you even better as a business partner.
Looking forward to what you are about to…..serve

Hi,
Wow, I am blown away by this report. Finally someone making sense of it all! All I
can say is THANKYOU THANKYOU if only for the one comment…..DID YOU MAKE SOMEONES LIFE BETTER TODAY!
I can’t tell you how many times I have searched for a topic, only to come up with sites that give you even more sites that give you even more sites to search. A waste of time, and not the reason I come onto the internet.
Its all about INFORMATION, and making it worth someones time to even go on the internet, which we will have to rely on for the future for almost everything. So its like the environment…..pick up your trash and recylce it. Recycle your old websites!
Thank you for all the valuable information that you gave out in your FREE report. It definately made my life better!

You’ve been a great source of inspiration to me, and having known many top marketers, I respect you for your ethics and willingness to really help people learn. I can’t wait for income.com to open its doors. I know it’ll go above and beyond what anyone offers on the ‘net.

It was great to meet you in Orlando last February. Thanks for the excellent content, as always. The “blueprint” you gave on page 46, alongside the description of your experience with the physical brochure and salesletter package, was considerably insightful.

Hey John,
Just read your report and yes, like everyone else, I think it was fabulous.
I’ve always wanted to tend away from the video route, but I guess video is really the way of the future.
I love the way you emphasized the importance of content though, and your thoughts on squeeze pages, though they do have their virtues.
I’m especially enlightened about the part about “serving” the market. That’s so very true; it’s paradoxical how I used to want to be able to churn out content that’s easy to produce i.e. low quality, and how I always click on the back button as soon as I smell a page that doesn’t seem to have proper content.
Again, GREAT job John, and I’m eagerly awaiting the launch of income.com!
May 1st, 2007 at 7:46 am
John Reese…
Dude, you have some good points, and like before, you will have a bunch of followers hanging on your every dramatic word…
Those people at Traffic are a bunch of lost souls with domains who “need guidance” and know absolutely “nothing” about I-marketing. So of course you were a huge hit…
They’d never even thought of collecting opt-ins! Silly stuff!
Can’t wait to hear what you think will be the “best” thing to do next…

John,
Once again you expose valuable information at the time when the Internet is in flux. Or is it that you are the guy making these changes happen?
You keep on enlightening us, because one day we hope to be at the point where we find out the important changes before they happen, and the only way we can do that is to study your successes.
Have an amazing day!

Thanks John, for your insightful words. I’m not even finished reading your report and I already have about five different ideas I’m excited to get busy working on. And, from the tone of your report, it sounds like I need to be in a hurry! So, I’m going back to finish now. Thanks for the wisdom!

Thanks for a top notch, rollercoaster read. Great insight and superb suggestions.
When I first saw your “silver man”with the outstretched arms, I thought he looked familiar. On opening the report and seeing your picture, bingo, I got it - it’s you
As you said, it will pay me to read your report numerous times and take action.
The points about the authority site and great content was very timely for me and I you hit the bulls eye about video and the long sales letter.
I sure am glad that I have you as a mentor on this jourmey (as a RR subscriber) and I look forward to income.com
All the best and thanks again

Hi John,
I enjoyed your 53 page report very much. I have been thinking about this for my own website. It has achieved the authority status with Google in that I rank very high for competitive keywords and continue to do so every month.
My problem is I do not think I do a good job of really helping people and I can see where adding video and really focusing on the question, is what I am doing or what I am saying really helping people and not just a vehicle to sell more products.
I look forward to becoming a VIP member and learning more in the coming months.
Thanks!

Looking forward to income.com roll out.

Thanks John, for a great report - as always!
I’m personally quite pleased with the ‘changes’ you predict, as it’s more my way of thinking.
I am always looking to provide great (and useful) content. I despise long sales letters, scraped adsense sites, and email marketing in it’s current form. Bring on the change!
Thanks once again. You are an inspiration to us all.
Looking forward to income.com - wish I had the resources to set something like this up!
Keep it coming.

John,
This report is spot on, the trends you mention have been visible for a while and you’ve summarised them in a way that makes it all seem obvious.
The only reason I stay subscribed to some newsletters is to reinforce to myself what I don’t want to do i.e. pitch, pitch, pitch.
You practice what you preach and your newsletter is one that I do read.

John Reese Drops A Bomb In "Rebirth of Internet Marketing"…
Today on the internet is John's day. He could blow it or blow people away. I think the majority of people are going to experience the latter.

John,
I heartily applaud you for having the courage to grab the I.M. world by the scruff of the neck and help it realize how far off track it has gone.
One of the best-known Internet Marketers who has recently come out of retirement, Terry Dean, said it best: “GIVE first to prove your worth.” He not only taught it, he DID it.
That lesson, along with the famous quote of Master Salesman Zig Ziglar, “You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want’, have been indelibly etched in my mind, and are an integral part of what I teach on my site and the way that I conduct my business.
Thank you for reminding your readers that INFORMATION is what people are looking for online, NOT another sales pitch. The truly successful people, both online and off, are those who give people what they want–and, as Fred Gleeck teaches, the WAY they want it.
I STILL have your famous John Reese Report that preceeded your Traffic Secrets launch in which you shared killer information similar to what you’ve poured into “Rebirth” and refer to my printed copy now and again.
One of the best-known phrases in Marketing is “W.I.I.F.M”–”What’s In It For Me?” Instead of asking it from the visitor’s perspective, much of I.M. in recent years has been asking it from the marketer’s perspective. Greed short-circuits success because it is self-serving. The Golden Rule, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” applies to all areas of life, Marketing included.
The late Gary Halbert once said that all he wanted was a starving market. Well, right now we have a starving market–of a different kind. One that is STARVING for meaningful content that will, as you have stated, “make someone’s life better.” Christian Godefroy said it well: “Quality Content is King (or I should say, KONG!)”
Thank you, John, for a clarion call back to integrity, basic marketing principles that have stood the test of time, and to put the focus back where it belongs: on the people that we are supposed to be trying to SERVE, our customers, prospects and visitors.
The ideas you’ve shared about the forth-coming launch of Income.com are exciting, unique and will no doubt embody/externalize much of what you’ve discussed in your Rebirth of Internet Marketing report.
Lastly, thank you so much for putting a POSITIVE spin on your Report’s name. I don’t know about you or your readers, but if I hear of another “Death Of” report, I think I’ll scream!

Very interesting article and while it bothers me to see it, I agree with your market interpretation completely. I will be looking forward to more good news from you in the near future. Thanks for the incredible report. I need to go now so I can start doing some testing with some new strategies.
Best regards,

Thanks for the report and all your wisdom. I also want to thank you personally for the BMW you presented to me in Orlando. Words cannot describe the feeling my friend. I am forever in your debt.

Hey John, Great report. I have to wonder though how long it wil lbe until we get the “Death of the rebirth of Internet Marketing”
I have never liked the long sales page. It has always looked to me like the lazy way to overcome objections by blabbing on and on. Video is still new and hot enough to make a difference. Now though I am going to have to get a better video camera and Microphone.
Does anyone know if the Camtasia guys stock is publicly traded? You are going to help them sell a lot of copies over the next little while.

Thanks John for the long awaited report from you on Internet Marketing. I will read and re-read. Although only in the Marketing biz for a short time, I realized at the start that people needed to like and trust you before they would believe you. I ask myself, would I buy from this person? You, John are still billed as the top Honest and Trusted Internet Marketer on my site. I will refer them to your new blog site. People are becoming much more visual now adays and video is definately the way to go. I too am personally irritated about the squeeze page just to get the information I am looking for. Yes, it is a waste of my time and I have tried to take that into consideration in my content. Again Great Report and much Thought time involved in its release. Cheers and God Bless

Dear John
It’s wonderful to have a global mentor such as yourself, who’s prepared to give back to the ‘world’, the wisdom of your lesson’s learned.
I trained in Internet Marketing only last year, having been on the design side of the corporate marketing industry for decades.
I don’t need to tell you how completely different it is to design a site, compared with stuff for print. It’s taken me 6 years to get my head around it!
Now, I’m particularly interested in this video approach… the personal telling of the ’story’. My question to you, is which format video is best? Have you tested different formats or do you propose a selection of formats from which the customer may choose?
Many thanks for your effort to share with all of us, as we persevere to keep up with the changes! (particularly us in the UK, who have been somewhat lagging behind).
Wishing you good health!
